The Fourth Annual McDowell County Day at the Legislature is slated for Monday, March 9th at the state capitol, Charleston. The day opens at 9 a.m. and ends after the evening reception in the Cultural Center, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
The public is strongly encouraged to participate in this annual event, and transportation will be provided again this year. “McDowell County Day at the Legislature is an enjoyable way to learn about and participate in state government,” County Commission President Gordon Lambert said. “The legislative day helps us showcase our county and to address the issues that are of greatest importance to our citizens.
