These volunteers have been busy during February planning the Fourth Annual McDowell County Day at the Legislature (MCDL), which is slated for March 9 at the state capitol in Charleston. The county educational and promotional event is open to the public and anyone may participate by calling Cathy Patton at 436-2894. Free transportation will be provided.
The volunteers voted during the most recent meeting to ask for help with the following infrastructure needs during MCDL: roads, the McDowell Ambulance Authority, water and sewers, demolition of dilapidated housing and structures and cell towers.
