The funds will be used solely for spaying and neutering local animals.
“We’ll never be able to deal with the over-population of unwanted animals until more dogs and cats are spayed or neutered,” Lambert said. “I hope this donation will inspire others to give to the fund. This is the Commission’s way of encouraging others to be responsible pet owners and to have their animals sterilized before they reproduce.”
