Anawalt Receives Grant
By Cathy Patton

West Virginia Senate Majority Leader H. Truman Chafin visited Anawalt September 4th, where he presented a $10,000 grant from the Governor’s Office to Mayor Eva Sue Rash and the Town Council.
The grant will be used for a number of projects, including repairing the sidewalks, resealing the roof on the Community Center and paving the basketball court.
Senator Chafin commented that Anawalt is wonderful community nestled in the beautiful mountains of southern West Virginia and that he looks forward to obtaining additional appropriations for other improvement projects.
“Anawalt is making some very positive changes for its citizens and I’m pleased to assist and salute the council for their hard work and dedication to their town,” Chafin said.
